It is summer time in India . Kids will insist on buying frooti. Health-conscious moms would try to dissuade them that the store bought frooti may have artificial colours or chemicals. But the kids don't listen. This need not be so anymore. You can make delicious mango frooti at home with just 3 ingredients. And the kids will be very happy when they come home after playing in the heat and moms serve them yummy mango frooti
Peel off the skin of the mangoes and chop into small pieces
Transfer to a pan.
Add 4 cups water and switch on the flame
Cover and cook on medium flame. If we cook on a high flame the mangoes will not get cooked properly. The water will evaporate fast in that case.
While the mangoes are being cooked let us make the sugar syrup.
Add 1 cup water to 1.5 cup sugar and place on the gas stove
After sugar dissolves let the mixture come to one boil Switch off flame at this stage and let it cool
Now check on the mangoes
Switch off flame after mangoes are cooked and allow them to cool
After they cool down transfer the cooked mangoes to a mixer jar and blend smooth
Now transfer to a pan and add sugar syrup which has cooled down.
Now strain this mixture
Our mango frooti is ready
If you feel sugar is less make more sugar syrup and add after it cools down
You should refrigerate this for at least 1 day
After refrigerating for 1 day frooti tastes better
This is because if you taste immediately you may be able to feel the taste of the cooked mangoes.
If you feel the need for more water mix some cool water while drinking it

1000 grams /4 cups ripe mangoes
200 grams/ 1 cup raw mangoes
Sugar 1.5 cups
Water 5 cups
